Let’s suppose that only the air we breathe is more pervasive than government. If air is poisonous, it causes long-term sickness to all the living things that breathe it. It is arguable therefore that if government is corrupt, it exposes all those who live under its influence to corruption, which they will either resist or succumb to. Reasonable?
